Remote Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Electrical Engineer to join their distributed engineering team, working remotely from Cardiff or anywhere within the UK. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex electrical circuits, systems, and components using state-of-the-art tools and methodologies.
• Perform detailed analysis, simulation, and verification of electrical designs to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and test procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with remote colleagues across various engineering disciplines, including mechanical, software, and systems engineering.
• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate electrical issues, providing remote support to manufacturing and field teams as needed.
• Stay abreast of emerging electrical engineering technologies and propose innovative solutions for future product development.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in electrical design and development.
• Strong command of circuit design principles, analog and digital electronics, and power management systems.
• Proficiency with simulation and PCB design software (e.g., LTspice, OrCAD, Eagle).
• Demonstrated experience working effectively in a remote , collaborative setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
