Remote Senior Exploration Geologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Exploration Geologist for a fully remote position, supporting their global mineral exploration programs. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and advancing new exploration targets, applying advanced geological principles and cutting-edge exploration technologies. This position requires a deep understanding of ore deposit geology, exploration strategy, and the ability to effectively manage projects and collaborate with diverse teams virtually. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving discovery and adding value to the company's resource pipeline from their home office.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and design regional and project-scale exploration programs.
• Interpret complex geological, geochemical, and geophysical datasets to identify mineralization trends.
• Develop and manage exploration budgets and timelines for assigned projects.
• Conduct technical reviews of third-party exploration data and reports.
• Provide expert geological guidance and mentorship to junior exploration staff remotely.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to advance exploration projects.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology or a related geoscience discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in mineral exploration, with a focus on porphyry copper, gold, or related deposit types.
• Expertise in 3D geological modeling software (e.g., Vulcan, Leapfrog Geo).
• Strong understanding of structural geology, petrology, and geochemistry.
• Demonstrated success in discovering and advancing mineral resources.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills for remote collaboration.
