About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Geophysicist to join their global exploration team on a fully remote basis . This exciting role will focus on the interpretation of seismic data to identify and evaluate potential hydrocarbon prospects. You will leverage advanced geophysical techniques and cutting-edge software to contribute to the company's strategic exploration efforts, working collaboratively with geologists and reservoir engineers from diverse locations. Key Responsibilities
- Interpret 2D and 3D seismic data to delineate geological structures and identify potential hydrocarbon reservoirs.
- Perform seismic data processing, attribute analysis, and inversion to enhance subsurface imaging.
- Integrate seismic data with well logs, core data, and geological models to build comprehensive subsurface interpretations.
- Conduct quantitative seismic interpretation and uncertainty analysis for prospect evaluation.
- Collaborate virtually with exploration teams, including geologists and reservoir engineers, on project objectives.
- Prepare detailed geophysical reports, presentations, and recommendations for exploration strategies.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Geophysics, Physics, or a related Earth Science field.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in seismic interpretation and geophysical analysis within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Proficiency with industry-standard seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, OpendTect, Kingdom).
- Strong understanding of seismic acquisition, processing, and geological principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and virtual collaboration skills.
