Remote Senior Information Security Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of security alerts and logs from various security systems, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection tools.
• Lead investigations into security incidents, documenting findings, and providing expert recommendations for mitigation and prevention.
• Develop and refine security policies, standards, and procedures to enhance the overall security posture.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, identifying weaknesses and collaborating on remediation strategies.
• Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies, recommending proactive measures.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote setting to implement security controls and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in information security analysis or a similar role, with a strong track record in incident response and threat analysis.
• Expert knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF), and common attack vectors.
• Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and various security monitoring tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.
