Remote Senior Medical Writer

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing pharmaceutical company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Remote Senior Medical Writer to contribute to their scientific communications efforts. Based remotely near Derby , you will be responsible for creating high-quality, accurate, and compliant medical and regulatory documents for a variety of pharmaceutical products. This role is crucial for effectively communicating complex scientific and clinical data to diverse audiences, including regulatory agencies, healthcare professionals, and patients. You will work independently, managing multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, remote-first work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and review a wide range of medical documents, including clinical study reports (CSRs), investigator brochures (IBs), and submission documents.
• Ensure all documents adhere to relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH, FDA, EMA) and company standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, and statistics, to gather necessary information.
• Manage document development timelines and project plans effectively.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of company style guides and templates.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and evolving regulatory requirements for medical communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, English, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Writer in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proven ability to write complex scientific and clinical documents accurately and clearly.
• In-depth knowledge of ICH guidelines and regulatory submission requirements.
• Excellent understanding of clinical trial processes and drug development.
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills, suitable for remote work.
