About the Role

This position, based virtually but supporting operations relevant to the Plymouth, Devon, UK region's broader industry influence, involves deep dives into market trends, resource economics, and operational data to provide strategic insights. You will play a crucial role in evaluating investment opportunities, assessing project viability, and forecasting market performance within the global mining industry . This remote role requires exceptional analytical capabilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis on commodity prices, supply/demand dynamics, and emerging trends within the mining sector.
• Evaluate the economic feasibility of mining projects, including capital expenditure, operating costs, and projected revenues.
• Develop financial models and forecasts to support investment decisions and strategic planning.
• Analyze operational data from mining sites to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost reduction.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, communicating complex findings clearly.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mining Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
