Remote Senior Process Development Engineer

Our client is actively searching for a highly experienced Senior Process Development Engineer to join their team in a fully remote capacity. You will lead projects from concept through to scale-up, working autonomously and collaborating with a distributed team of experts. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, development, and optimization of new chemical processes for commercial viability.
• Oversee and manage pilot plant operations and scale-up strategies, ensuring successful technology transfer.
• Conduct rigorous techno-economic assessments and risk analyses for proposed process designs.
• Mentor and guide junior process development engineers within the remote team structure.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance.
• Ensure all process designs adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in chemical process development and scale-up.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing complex engineering projects.
• Expertise in process simulation, modeling, and statistical analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of reaction engineering, separations, and process safety principles.
• Exceptional ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate sophisticated technical concepts in a remote setting.
