About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a talented Senior Python Developer to join their fully remote team, contributing to significant projects from anywhere in the UK. This role is designed for an experienced engineer who excels in back-end development and is passionate about building scalable, high-performance applications. You will work autonomously, collaborating with distributed teams to deliver innovative solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape key software components within a company that values remote work, flexibility, and technical expertise, with the work location being flexible across the UK, but ideally accessible for occasional collaboration meetings that may be virtual.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable back-end services and APIs using Python and associated frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
- Design and implement efficient database schemas and queries, working with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices in software engineering .
- Collaborate with front-end developers and product managers in a remote setting to define, design, and ship new features.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, and the continuous improvement of our client's technology stack.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of production systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in back-end development, with a strong focus on Python .
- Proficiency with web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Solid understanding of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and ORMs.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker).
- Familiarity with front-end technologies and JavaScript frameworks is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote , collaborative environment.
