Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute multi-step synthetic routes for novel small molecules and complex organic compounds.
• Perform rigorous characterization of synthesized compounds using techniques such as NMR, MS, and HPLC.
• Troubleshoot challenging synthetic problems and optimize reaction conditions for yield and purity.
• Collaborate virtually with medicinal chemists, biologists, and computational chemists to advance drug discovery programs.
• Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and contribute to the preparation of research reports and publications.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-doctoral or industrial experience in synthetic organic chemistry.
• Proven expertise in modern synthetic methodologies, reaction mechanisms, and purification techniques.
• Hands-on experience with advanced spectroscopic and chromatographic analysis methods.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, results-oriented approach to research, ideal for a remote role based near Bradford .
