Remote Senior Resource Geologist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Resource Geologist to join their exploration and development team, working remotely from anywhere within the UK. This pivotal role involves the estimation and reporting of mineral resources, utilizing advanced geological modeling and statistical techniques. You will play a key part in evaluating the economic viability of potential mining projects and supporting the company's strategic growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate geological models for mineral resources using industry-standard software.
• Perform resource estimations and classification according to international standards (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101).
• Analyze geological, geochemical, and assay data to define mineralized zones and their characteristics.
• Prepare comprehensive resource reports for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
• Provide geological input for mine planning, feasibility studies, and reserve estimation.
• Mentor junior geologists and contribute to the continuous improvement of geological methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geology, Economic Geology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in mineral resource estimation and geology.
• Demonstrated expertise in geological modeling and resource estimation software (e.g., Leapfrog, Micromine, Snowden).
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis, geostatistics, and domain modeling.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex geological information.
