Remote Senior Security Engineer - Cloud Security

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Engineer specializing in Cloud Security to join their fully remote team. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls and architectures for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and execute security policies, standards, and procedures to protect cloud assets.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Implement and manage security monitoring, logging, and intrusion detection systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into the development lifecycle.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on cloud security engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, tools, and services across major cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with security technologies such as firewalls, WAFs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security.
• Experience with security scripting and automation tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
