About the Role
Our client is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their distributed development team, working entirely remotely. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying complex software solutions that drive innovation and provide exceptional value to our customers. This position requires a deep understanding of software development best practices, a passion for elegant code, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a geographically dispersed team. You will contribute to the architectural decisions and technical direction of our software products, working in a highly agile and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features.
- Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks, bugs, and technical debt.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical strategy planning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or Node.js.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
- Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
