Remote Site Safety Officer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and proactive Remote Site Safety Officer to oversee health and safety compliance across various construction sites from a virtual standpoint. This crucial role ensures that all projects maintain the highest safety standards, adhering to current legislation and best practices, without requiring constant physical presence on site. You will be responsible for developing safety plans, conducting remote risk assessments, training site personnel virtually, and investigating incidents. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health and safety management systems for multiple construction projects.
• Conduct remote risk assessments, site safety audits, and inspections using photographic and video evidence provided by site teams.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters to site management and project teams.
• Deliver virtual safety training sessions and toolbox talks to site personnel.
• Investigate all accidents, near misses, and safety breaches, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, compliance documentation, and site safety files.

Requirements

• NEBOSH National General Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a construction health and safety role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and enforce safety standards remotely using digital communication and reporting tools.
• Thorough knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and construction industry best practices.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting.
