About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Remote Solar Energy Solutions Architect to design comprehensive solar energy systems for residential and commercial clients. Working entirely from home, you will leverage your deep technical knowledge to create customized solutions that maximize energy efficiency and cost savings. This role is critical in driving our client's mission to accelerate the adoption of solar power across diverse markets. You will be a key player in translating client needs into viable, cutting-edge solar designs, contributing significantly to the growth of sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design bespoke solar energy systems , including photovoltaic (PV) arrays, inverters, battery storage, and monitoring solutions.
• Conduct site assessments (remotely using tools and client-provided data) to determine optimal system configurations.
• Perform energy production modeling and financial analysis to demonstrate system value and ROI.
• Select appropriate components and technologies based on client requirements, site conditions, and performance goals.
• Prepare detailed system design documents, schematics, and specifications for installation teams.
• Provide technical support and guidance to sales teams and installation partners throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and architecting solar PV systems for residential and commercial applications.
• In-depth knowledge of solar technology, including PV modules, inverters, mounting systems, and battery storage.
• Proficiency with solar design software (e.g., Helioscope, Aurora Solar, PVSyst) and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, building codes, and permitting processes related to solar installations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills, adapted for a remote environment.
