Remote Solar Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Solar Project Manager to join their forward-thinking renewable energy team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of solar energy projects, from initial feasibility studies to final commissioning and handover. This role is crucial for expanding our client's solar portfolio and driving the transition towards sustainable energy solutions across the nation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of solar project development, including site selection, permitting, design, procurement, and construction.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Oversee the procurement of solar equipment and services, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor project performance, identify potential issues, and implement timely corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
• Ensure projects comply with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a significant portion focused on solar energy projects .
• Strong understanding of solar PV technology, grid interconnection, and project finance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana).
