About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join their innovative team in a remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review the school's Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) policy.
• Coordinate the day-to-day implementation of the SEND provision, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Liaise with class teachers, external agencies, and parents to provide comprehensive support for students with SEND.
• Manage and deploy support staff, including teaching assistants, to effectively meet student needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date SEND records and databases.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on SEND best practices and legal requirements.

Requirements

• Recognised SEN qualification or significant experience in a SENCO role.
• Thorough knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
• Experience in developing and implementing effective SEND strategies and interventions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively in a remote setting.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for communication, record-keeping, and reporting.
