You will be responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing vast datasets to identify trends, predict outcomes, and provide actionable recommendations to coaching staff and management. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyze large volumes of sports data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Develop predictive models and statistical analyses to forecast player performance, game outcomes, and other key metrics.
- Create clear and concise data visualizations and reports to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with coaching staff and management to understand their data needs and provide tailored insights.
- Identify new opportunities for data analysis to enhance team strategy, player development, and overall performance.
- Utilize advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to extract maximum value from data.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Sports Analyst, with a strong portfolio of analytical projects.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of sports, including rules, strategies, and performance metrics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
