About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly analytical and sports-passionate Remote Sports Data Analyst to join their innovative team. This position will involve collecting, cleaning, and analyzing vast datasets related to various sports, providing actionable insights to support team performance, strategic decision-making, and fan engagement initiatives. You will work independently from your home office, collaborating virtually with coaches, strategists, and other analysts to drive data-informed strategies across the organization, playing a critical role in leveraging performance analytics to gain a competitive edge in the dynamic world of professional sports.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyze large volumes of sports-related data from diverse sources.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.
• Identify patterns, insights, and actionable recommendations to improve team performance and strategy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to understand their data needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Design and implement statistical models and predictive analytics to forecast outcomes and evaluate player performance.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in sports analytics and data science.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Sports Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the sports industry or a related analytical field.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Excel.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning concepts, and data mining techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
