About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and data-driven Remote Sports Performance Analyst to join their innovative team, operating remotely from Sheffield and other locations. In this pivotal role, you will leverage advanced data analytics and performance tracking technologies to provide insights that enhance athlete performance, strategic decision-making, and injury prevention. You will work closely with coaching staff and athletes, delivering reports and presentations that translate complex data into actionable strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyze performance data from various sources, including video analysis, GPS tracking, and biometric data.
- Develop and present comprehensive reports and visualizations to coaching staff, highlighting key performance trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with coaches to implement data-informed training strategies and tactical adjustments.
- Utilize statistical modeling and predictive analytics to identify potential injury risks and performance plateaus.
- Stay abreast of the latest technologies and methodologies in sports performance analysis and data science.
- Maintain and manage databases of athlete performance metrics and historical data.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sports Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Performance Analyst or in a similar data-focused role within a sports context.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with sports-specific analysis software (e.g., Hudl, Catapult) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data clearly.
