About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join their innovative team on a fully remote basis. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design and analysis of structural elements for a diverse range of construction projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and standards. You will collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineers through virtual channels, leveraging cutting-edge software and digital tools. This position offers the flexibility of remote work combined with the challenge of contributing to significant engineering feats from anywhere within the UK, fostering a culture of remote collaboration and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for various construction projects using industry-standard software.
- Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Collaborate virtually with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure designs meet all relevant building regulations, codes, and safety standards.
- Conduct peer reviews of calculations and designs produced by other team members.
- Provide technical support and guidance during the construction phase, remotely.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in structural design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000).
- Strong knowledge of UK building codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for a remote environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage project deadlines effectively.
