About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and innovative Structural Engineer to join their fully remote team, supporting projects across the UK from their base in Cardiff . You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and assessment of structural integrity for a variety of construction projects. This role involves collaborating with architects, project managers, and other engineers to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable structural solutions. We seek a candidate with a passion for engineering excellence and the ability to contribute to technically challenging projects within a flexible, remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations for buildings and infrastructure using industry-standard software.
- Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports for project submission and approval.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate remotely with architects, contractors, and other disciplines to integrate structural designs seamlessly.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical advice on structural matters.
- Review construction site progress and address any structural queries or deviations from design.
Requirements
- Degree in Structural Engineering or a related field; Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in the design and analysis of various structural systems (e.g., steel, concrete, timber).
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations and Eurocodes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail for accurate structural designs .
