Remote Supply Chain Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organised and communicative Remote Supply Chain Coordinator to manage and optimise the flow of goods and information across their supply chain network from a home-based location. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient operations, managing carrier relationships, and resolving logistical challenges proactively. You will work closely with internal departments and external partners to guarantee timely deliveries and maintain high service standards. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics operations, including shipment tracking, scheduling, and carrier management.
• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and distribution centers to ensure seamless movement of goods.
• Resolve any logistical issues or delays promptly, communicating solutions to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and supply chain activities using dedicated software.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
• Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs ) related to logistics and supply chain operations for the Oxford region and beyond.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Supply Chain Coordination or Logistics role.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics operations, and transportation management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software, including ERP systems and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently in a remote setting .
