About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Remote Telecoms Field Service Engineer to bolster their national support network, based out of Coventry, West Midlands , but operating primarily remotely with travel as needed. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment across various client sites. You will be the frontline technical expert, diagnosing and resolving complex issues to maintain high service levels and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for a wide range of telecommunications systems and equipment.
• Conduct planned maintenance and upgrades on customer premises when required, coordinating travel efficiently.
• Diagnose and repair faults on fixed and mobile network infrastructure, adhering to strict service level agreements.
• Install and commission new telecommunications equipment, ensuring full functionality and client acceptance.
• Maintain detailed service records and reports using the company's field service management system.
• Liaise with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide effective solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical support role within the telecoms industry .
• Strong understanding of network protocols, mobile technologies (4G/5G), and fibre optics.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Must possess a valid UK driving license and be willing to travel as required by the role.
