Remote Telecoms Network Administrator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Remote Telecoms Network Administrator to join their distributed IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our client's telecommunications network infrastructure from the comfort of your own home. Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN concentrators.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security using established tools and protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls for network resources.
• Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures to protect against threats.
• Provide technical support to internal users for network-related queries and issues.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar IT support role with a strong focus on networking.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking, subnetting, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP), and switching technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds) and troubleshooting utilities.
• Familiarity with network security best practices and the ability to implement security measures.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are a strong asset.
