Remote Telecoms Network Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Remote Telecoms Network Architect to design and guide the evolution of their national network infrastructure. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere. You will be responsible for defining the overarching network strategy, selecting appropriate technologies, and creating robust, scalable, and secure network designs that support current and future business needs. This is a high-impact position for a senior professional who can translate complex requirements into elegant, efficient, and future-proof network solutions, working independently and collaborating with distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for the company's telecommunications network architecture.
• Design end-to-end network solutions, including LAN, WAN, data center, cloud connectivity, and security frameworks.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend their adoption to enhance network capabilities and performance.
• Create detailed architectural documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and best practice guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure successful implementation of architectural designs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex network design challenges and solutions.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in telecom network architecture and design.
• Deep expertise in a wide range of networking technologies (e.g., IP routing, MPLS, SDN, NFV, wireless).
• Proven ability to design large-scale, resilient, and secure network infrastructures.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud strategies.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote collaboration.
