About the Role
Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Remote Telecoms Network Design Engineer to join their innovative team, supporting their operations remotely, including their presence in Oxford . You will be responsible for developing detailed network designs and solutions that meet specific client and internal requirements. This role involves translating conceptual ideas into practical, implementable network blueprints, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and reliability. You will work in a fully remote capacity, collaborating with teams across different locations to deliver state-of-the-art telecoms solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and document network solutions for various telecoms services , including LAN, WAN, wireless, and voice networks.
- Create detailed network diagrams, schematics, and configuration templates based on technical specifications.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and implementation teams to understand project scope and technical requirements.
- Evaluate and select appropriate hardware and software components for network designs.
- Perform network capacity planning and performance analysis to ensure designs meet future demands.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during the implementation phase.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in telecoms network design or a closely related engineering role.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), and architectures.
- Experience with network design tools and simulation software.
- Familiarity with various telecoms technologies and vendor equipment.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and remote collaboration skills are essential.
