About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and security-conscious Remote Telecoms Network Engineer to join their established team. You will be responsible for implementing security best practices, responding to security incidents, and designing secure network solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Monitor network traffic for security threats and anomalies, and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of network infrastructure.
• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures in line with industry standards.
• Collaborate with security operations and IT teams to enhance overall security posture.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and technologies relevant to telecommunications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in telecoms network engineering with a strong emphasis on network security.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise-grade firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.
• Deep understanding of network protocols and security principles.
• Experience with securing cloud-based network environments is advantageous.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Must be able to work independently in a fully remote capacity, demonstrating strong self-discipline and communication skills.
