About the Role

Our client is searching for a skilled and self-motivated Remote Telecoms Network Engineer to join their expanding technical team, working from home across the UK. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our client's robust network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. You will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality network solutions that support evolving business needs, all within a flexible, remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level telecommunications networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and uptime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, providing timely support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement network security measures to protect against cyber threats.
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams and configuration guides.
• Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and propose improvements to existing infrastructure.

Requirements

• Solid experience in network engineering , with a focus on telecommunications technologies.
• Proficiency with network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
• Familiarity with network security best practices and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
