About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and technically proficient Remote Telecoms Network Operations Specialist to join their distributed team. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the UK. You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting our client's telecommunications network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and availability using sophisticated management tools.
• Respond to network alerts and incidents, performing diagnostics and implementing timely resolutions.
• Manage and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and servers, remotely.
• Perform routine system checks, backups, and software updates to ensure network integrity.
• Collaborate with other technical teams to resolve complex network issues and implement configuration changes.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and incident resolution steps accurately.
• Provide support and guidance to internal teams regarding network operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in network operations or a similar technical support role within the telecoms industry .
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and network switching.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools.
• Excellent remote troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable working in a virtual team environment.
• Experience with cloud-based network management platforms is a plus.
