About the Role
Our client is seeking motivated individuals for their Apprenticeships & Trainee program as a Remote Trainee Web Developer , operating from Reading but working entirely online. This is an exciting opportunity to build a career in web development from scratch, learning essential skills in front-end and back-end technologies in a virtual environment. You will contribute to creating and maintaining websites and web applications, working collaboratively with a remote team. This role is ideal for self-starters with a passion for coding and problem-solving, eager to immerse themselves in the world of web technologies and make a significant impact from their home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of websites and web applications.
- Learn and apply front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Support back-end development tasks using relevant programming languages and frameworks.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers in a remote team setting.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues found in web applications.
Requirements
- A strong interest in web development and programming.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
- Basic understanding of computer programming concepts is helpful.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a logical approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setup.
