Key Responsibilities

• Plan and optimise daily transport routes and schedules for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Allocate resources, including vehicles and drivers, to meet delivery requirements.
• Monitor and adjust plans in real-time to accommodate changes and resolve issues.
• Communicate route plans and operational instructions clearly to drivers and operational teams.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant driving hours regulations and legal requirements.
• Analyse route performance data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.

Requirements

• Proven experience in transport planning, route optimisation, or logistics coordination.
• Proficiency with transport planning software (e.g., Paragon, Maxoptra, or similar).
• Strong understanding of UK geographical areas and road networks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and make quick decisions.
