About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated Renewable Energy Electrical Engineer to join their team in Liverpool . This role is focused on the design and development of electrical systems for solar, wind, and other renewable energy projects. You will be involved in all phases of project development, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design and commissioning. The hybrid working model offers a blend of focused individual work and essential team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for renewable energy installations, including grid connection and energy storage solutions.
- Perform feasibility studies and site assessments for potential renewable energy projects.
- Develop single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and equipment specifications.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant electrical codes, standards, and grid operator requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, civil engineers, and external stakeholders.
- Support the commissioning and handover of renewable energy electrical systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design , preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Knowledge of solar PV, wind turbine, or battery energy storage systems.
- Familiarity with grid connection standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
