Renewable Energy Installation Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking dedicated Renewable Energy Installation Specialists to join their team in Nottingham . You will be responsible for the installation of solar panel systems, battery storage solutions, and other renewable energy technologies for residential and commercial customers. This role is vital in supporting the transition to sustainable energy and requires a practical, hands-on approach coupled with a strong understanding of electrical and structural installation principles. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions, ensuring high-quality installations that meet safety and performance standards within the Nottingham region.

Key Responsibilities

• Install photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, mounting systems, and associated electrical components.
• Connect solar systems to inverters and integrate with battery storage and existing electrical infrastructure.
• Ensure all installations comply with the latest electrical regulations and health and safety standards.
• Read and interpret system designs , schematics, and site plans.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and handover procedures for customers.
• Maintain accurate site records, including installation details and materials used.

Requirements

• Proven experience in electrical or solar PV installation.
• Knowledge of renewable energy systems , particularly solar PV and battery storage.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in various environmental conditions.
• Understanding of electrical wiring, testing, and safety procedures.
• Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds 2330, 2357, 18th Edition wiring regulations) are highly desirable.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
