Renewable Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee significant projects from inception to completion in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is critical to expanding our client's portfolio of sustainable energy solutions. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the renewable energy landscape, working within our Newcastle operations centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for renewable energy installations, including wind, solar, and battery storage projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress against these metrics.
• Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations personnel.
• Liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as necessary.
• Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality assurance protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex projects, preferably in the energy sector .
• In-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies and project development processes.
• Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
