Renewable Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Renewable Energy Project Manager to spearhead ambitious projects from conception through to completion in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for overseeing the development, planning, and execution of key initiatives in solar, wind, and other green energy technologies. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, including site selection, permitting, design, procurement, and construction.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and financial targets.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless project execution.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive strategies to overcome potential challenges.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant environmental regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Communicate project status, milestones, and potential issues to stakeholders effectively through regular reports and meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector .
• Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects from initiation to closure.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, battery storage) and their development processes.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
