Renewable Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager for a fully remote position. You will take ownership of the full project lifecycle for diverse renewable energy installations, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to commissioning and handover. This role is crucial for driving the company's commitment to sustainable energy solutions and expanding its portfolio of green projects across the UK. You'll be instrumental in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, all managed from the convenience of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of renewable energy projects , including onshore wind, solar farms, and battery storage systems.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, legal) and external partners (suppliers, contractors, local authorities).
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards.
• Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Oversee site selection, permitting, grid connection applications, and construction management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; PMP or Prince 2 certification is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale energy projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics , and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills for remote team management.
• Proficiency in project management software and virtual collaboration tools.
