Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead key initiatives from their office in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for overseeing the development and execution of innovative renewable energy projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be managing diverse project lifecycles, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to construction and commissioning, playing a vital part in expanding our client's renewable energy portfolio. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for renewable energy installations, including solar, wind, and battery storage.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Oversee site selection, permitting, and regulatory compliance for new projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all projects adhere to strict health, safety, and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale energy projects, preferably in renewables.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project finance, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with project management software and risk assessment techniques.
