Renewable Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for an accomplished Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of diverse renewable energy projects, based in or near Edinburgh . This role requires a leader who can manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and contractors, navigating the complexities of the renewable energy landscape. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive impactful projects in Scotland's burgeoning green energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams , including engineering, legal, finance, and operations.
• Oversee site selection, permitting, and stakeholder engagement with local communities and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) managing renewable energy projects (solar, wind, or other renewables).
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and project management software .
• Experience with contract negotiation, procurement processes, and financial management for projects.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
