Renewable Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of solar and wind energy projects in the Birmingham region. This role is crucial in driving the transition to sustainable energy solutions, managing projects from initial conception through to commissioning and handover. You will work closely with engineering teams, regulatory bodies, and external contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of renewable energy projects , including feasibility studies, site selection, permitting, design, procurement, and construction.
• Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
• Liaise with stakeholders, including local authorities, utility companies, and community representatives, to secure approvals and manage relationships.
• Oversee the performance of project teams, consultants, and contractors, ensuring adherence to project scope and quality objectives.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as necessary.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management within the energy sector, with a focus on renewables.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex energy infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong understanding of solar and wind energy technologies and project lifecycles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
