Renewable Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of cutting-edge renewable energy projects in the West Midlands region. You will be instrumental in managing all phases of project lifecycles, from initial feasibility studies and permitting through to construction, commissioning, and handover. This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site project engagement and remote office work, providing flexibility while ensuring effective project oversight. You will work closely with engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards, contributing significantly to the UK's clean energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and financial management of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery storage).
• Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, local authorities, and supply chain partners.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, permits, and safety standards.
• Oversee the procurement process for equipment and services, negotiating contracts with vendors and contractors.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile).
• Experience with site assessment, permitting, and grid connection processes.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with the UK's renewable energy policy landscape and market incentives.
