Renewable Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client seeks a proactive and experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of innovative energy projects in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be responsible for managing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, procurement, and construction teams, as well as external stakeholders and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the energy sector and a passion for driving sustainable energy solutions, blending site-based oversight with flexible remote work capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects , such as solar farms and wind energy installations.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and compliance with project specifications.
• Oversee contractor and supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and ensuring performance.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings, reporting on project status to senior management.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven track record of managing complex energy projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector .
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile).
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience with contract management and stakeholder engagement.
