About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Renewable Energy Systems Installer to join their expanding team, contributing to a sustainable future from their base near Oxford . This role involves the installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and other renewable energy technologies for residential and commercial clients across the region. You will be responsible for the physical installation of panels, inverters, and associated electrical components, ensuring all work is performed safely and to the highest industry standards. The successful candidate will have a practical, hands-on approach, a commitment to renewable energy, and the ability to work effectively in diverse outdoor settings throughout Oxfordshire .

Key Responsibilities

• Install solar PV panels, mounting structures, and associated electrical components on rooftops and ground arrays.
• Connect electrical wiring for solar systems, including inverters, isolators, and distribution boards.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and basic troubleshooting upon completion of installations.
• Ensure all installations comply with current electrical regulations and company safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
• Assist with the maintenance and repair of existing renewable energy systems as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in electrical installation, ideally with solar PV systems.
• A strong understanding of electrical principles and wiring practices.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to working at height and with electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret installation plans and electrical schematics.
• A valid UK driving license and the flexibility to travel across Oxfordshire and beyond.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
