Repairs Coordinator / Claims Handler Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 + benefits (and weekly pay!) Contract: Permanent | Full-time Working Hours: Monday–Friday (8am–4pm, 9am–5pm or 10am–6pm) Location: Office-based (Hebburn) or hybrid Ideally based: Hebburn / Washington / South Shields / Bolden Colliery Free parking on-site | accessible by public transport Overview An exciting opportunity to join a growing team helping coordinate residential property repairs. This role is ideal for someone with experience in claims, property repairs or has worked in a works/engineering coordination environment. You will oversee a caseload of projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage incoming repair projects from first notification through to completion of works
- Coordinate repairs using a trusted trades / contractor network
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, clients, surveyors and insurance companies
- Monitor work-in-progress and ensure all SLAs and KPIs are met
- Arrange emergency repairs as required
- Obtain estimates, reports and supporting documentation What We’re Looking For
- Experience in insurance claims, property repairs or similar environment (social housing repairs/maintenance, contractor, facilities etc.)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast moving environment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office and internal systems/job management systems What’s on offer
