About the Role

Our client, a leading research institution in Cambridge , is seeking a diligent Research Project Manager to support groundbreaking scientific initiatives. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of research projects, from grant application and ethical approval to data collection, analysis, and reporting. You will work closely with principal investigators, research fellows, and technical staff to manage project timelines, budgets, and compliance requirements, facilitating the advancement of scientific discovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and execution of research projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and objectives.
• Manage research project budgets, including grant administration and financial reporting.
• Facilitate the preparation and submission of grant proposals and ethical review applications.
• Coordinate research activities, manage data collection, and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including funding bodies and collaborators.
• Ensure all research activities are conducted in accordance with ethical guidelines and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in research project management , preferably within an academic or R&D setting.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and grant management processes.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and administrative skills.
• Familiarity with ethical review processes and regulatory compliance in research.
