Research Scientist - Cell Therapy

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and dedicated Research Scientist focused on Cell Therapy to join their pioneering research team in Edinburgh . You will be involved in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments related to cell manipulation, expansion, and characterization. Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments related to cell culture, genetic modification, and characterization for cell therapy applications.
• Develop and optimize protocols for cell expansion, differentiation, and functional assays.
• Perform data analysis, interpret results, and contribute to research reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including molecular biologists and process development scientists.
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and laboratory safety standards.
• Contribute to the troubleshooting of experimental challenges and the advancement of research projects.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Cell Biology, Immunology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in mammalian cell culture techniques, including stem cells or immune cells.
• Hands-on experience with cell-based assays, flow cytometry, and molecular biology techniques.
• Understanding of cell therapy principles and development processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with good documentation practices.
