Research Scientist - Drug Discovery

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist with a background in Drug Discovery to join their cutting-edge, fully remote research unit. This role is integral to identifying and validating novel therapeutic targets and advancing candidate molecules through the early stages of the drug discovery pipeline. You will leverage your scientific expertise and creativity to design and execute experiments, collaborating virtually with a talented team of chemists, biologists, and computational scientists to accelerate the development of life-changing medicines.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments to identify and validate novel drug targets and pathways.
• Develop and optimize assays for screening compound libraries and evaluating lead compounds.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and contribute to the preparation of research reports and presentations.
• Collaborate closely with medicinal chemists and other research scientists to advance drug candidates.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of drug discovery programs.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life science field.
• Proven experience in drug discovery, including target identification and validation.
• Proficiency in various molecular and cellular biology techniques.
