Research Scientist - Environmental Science

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Research Scientist to contribute to their Environmental Science division based in Plymouth . This role focuses on investigating critical environmental challenges, such as pollution monitoring, sustainable resource management, and climate change impacts. You will be involved in designing and conducting field and laboratory research, analyzing environmental data, and developing innovative solutions to pressing ecological issues. The successful candidate will possess a strong scientific foundation in environmental science, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to making a positive impact on environmental sustainability. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research on environmental processes, pollution dynamics, and ecosystem health.
• Design and implement field sampling programs and laboratory experiments.

Requirements

• Experience with field sampling methodologies and laboratory analysis relevant to environmental monitoring.
• Strong scientific writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a research team in Plymouth .
