Research Scientist - Medicinal Chemistry

Key Responsibilities

• Design and synthesize novel small molecules using modern synthetic organic chemistry techniques.
• Optimize lead compounds for potency, selectivity, pharmacokinetic properties, and safety.
• Collaborate with biologists to develop and implement structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies.
• Utilize computational chemistry tools and databases to guide compound design and strategy.
• Purify and characterize synthesized compounds using techniques such as NMR, LC-MS, and HPLC.
• Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results, contributing to project reports and publications.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal Chemistry.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in synthetic organic chemistry, with a strong focus on medicinal chemistry .
• Expertise in designing and executing multi-step synthesis plans for complex organic molecules.
• Proficiency in spectroscopic techniques (NMR, MS) for compound characterization.
• Familiarity with drug discovery processes, SAR analysis, and ADME/Tox considerations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
