Research Scientist - Nanomaterials

About the Role

This role focuses on the synthesis, characterization, and application of novel nanomaterials . You will be instrumental in driving research projects forward, from conceptualization through to prototype development, working within a state-of-the-art laboratory environment. Key Responsibilities

• Synthesize and functionalize a range of nanomaterials, including nanoparticles, nanotubes, and 2D materials.
• Characterize materials using advanced techniques such as electron microscopy (SEM/TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and spectroscopy.
• Investigate the physical, chemical, and electronic properties of newly synthesized nanomaterials.
• Explore and develop novel applications for nanomaterials in areas such as electronics, catalysis, and biomedical fields.
• Collaborate with engineers and other scientists to integrate nanomaterials into device prototypes.
• Document research findings meticulously and contribute to scientific publications and patent applications.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field with a strong focus on nanomaterials.
• 3+ years of research experience in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization.
• Proficiency with characterization techniques like SEM, TEM, XRD, and surface analysis methods.
• A solid understanding of the fundamental principles governing nanomaterial properties and behavior.
• Experience with computational modeling of materials is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
