About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Reservoir Simulation Specialist to join their fully remote team. This role is crucial for modeling and forecasting the performance of oil and gas reservoirs, driving strategic decisions in field development and production optimization. You will utilize advanced simulation techniques and software to analyze complex geological and fluid flow data. Working from anywhere in the UK, you will collaborate with geoscientists and engineers globally, contributing to cutting-edge projects within the Oil & Gas industry from a flexible, home-based setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, calibrate, and run complex reservoir simulation models for various field development scenarios.
- Analyze simulation results to predict reservoir performance, recovery factors, and economic potential.
- Perform sensitivity studies and uncertainty analysis to assess the impact of key parameters.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geologists to refine models based on new data and insights.
- Develop and implement advanced simulation workflows, including dynamic data integration and EOR simulations.
- Prepare technical reports and present simulation findings and recommendations to management and project teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in reservoir simulation within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Expertise in industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG suite, INTERSECT).
- Strong understanding of reservoir engineering principles, fluid properties, and numerical methods.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, crucial for remote teamwork.
